
c1860 Antique South Indian Asian Teakwood Doorway
This elaborate and unique doorway, c1860, was styled by artisans from the south of India. Top panel has the image of LAKSHMI, the Indian Goddess of Wealth, who’s flanked by elephants known as GAJA LAKSHMI on each side. The large horses on eiher sides of the door are guarding the entire doorway. Elegantly molded door panels were uniquely designed with three different shapes. Made from solid beams of teakwood, it makes a formidable entrance!

c1850 Gujarat Art Indian Teak Entrance Door
This is a massive Anglo-Indian, Gujarat art teakwood main entrance door from c1850. From an old haveli, a royal home with courtyard, this unique door and frame is embellished with the typical lotus flower and brass knobs of Gujarat. Side supports are made from solid one-piece beams. Instep design gives the door a three-dimensional appearance. Original handles and chain locking system are in working condition.

c1880 Anglo-Indian Teak Hallstand Coat & Umbrella Rack
This is an Anglo-Indian hall stand, circa 1880, made of lovely golden teak wood. It has a unique central pillar with scrolled prongs on either side, with its original brass and ceramic hooks. The curved umbrella rails are supported by elegant, turned baluster columns on a large, tapering platform. Extremely well-built and professionally restored and refinished. During shipping it recently sustained a clean crack to the umbrella rail which has been repaired.

c1890 China Trade Camphor Wooden Chest Trunk
This antique China trade chest dates from circa 1890 and was made from aromatic camphor wood. Recently refinished. This form of chest was popular in the 19th century for preserving linens and other delicate items. It was designed in campaign style with removable trays and compartments, almost like a traveling dresser. The inside top panel features three window compartments, with the outer doors featuring intricately carved floral designs, and the center door has a mirror. Stout bail handles on the sides and extensive brass banding at the corners.

c1890 China Trade Camphor Wooden Chest Trunk
This antique China trade chest dates from circa 1890 and was hand-crafted from aromatic camphor wood. Features recessed pull-out handle, extensive brass banding and stout bail handles on left and right side. Single hinge keeps top in upright position. Recently refinished and in excellent condition. A couple light water spots on the top.
