
c1870 Goa Portuguese Rosewood Serving Table
This Goa Indo-Portuguese rosewood serving table is absolutely stunning. Its rectangular top is made from a single piece of wood. It features unusual, pierced floral patterns below the frieze and at the rear of the top. Front legs feature acanthus leaf scroll carved knees and claw feet, which sit atop a cut-away platform. This piece was restored by a master craftsman who faithfully recreated sections of the top carving and carved decorations to the base.

This beautiful console table in the Regency period style dates from the early 20th century. Made of teakwood, it features elaborate hand-carved decoration in the Anglo-Indian style.
